Branch Practice Closure

Unfortunately we have had to close our Gilmerton branch due to staffing issues. If you are a Gilmerton client and your pet needs medical attention please phone into our Portobello branch and we will be happy to speak with you from there


To keep our staff and clients safe we are not seeing routine appointments any longer. Only emergency appointments are being seen in the practice and non emergent appointments are being carried out by phone conversation. Phone consultations are being charged as deemed appropriate by the vet.

When you call the practice, please make us aware if you are having symptoms of the coronavirus such as cough, fever or shortness of breath OR if you have come into contact with someone with these symptoms OR if you fall into the ‘at risk’ category.

If you are asked to come in please DO NOT come into the practice for your own safety and for the safety of the staff. Wait either in your car or outside the building. Phone reception when you arrive and a nurse will be with you shortly to receive your pet. A vet and nurse will examine your pet and carry out the consultation by phone. All payments are being carried out by phone, there will be no transfer of money or use of card machines.


If you require repeat medication for your pet please let us know 4 days in advance. This is due to disruption in deliveries from our suppliers. Medications can be collected from the practice, please follow the above guidance and do not enter the building. If you are unable to come into the practice we can post medications out for a delivery fee of £5.
